Rudraprayag is located in the sacred junction of two mighty rivers called Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers. The whole area is blessed with abundant beauty of nature, pilgrimage sites, glacial lakes, and much more. Your next destination is Kanakchauri, famous as the gateway to a beautiful trek to Kartik Swami Temple. It is the only temple dedicated to Lord Kartikeya (Son of Shiva) in North India. This Trek to Kartikswami Temple is quite easy, yet presents a magnificent and grand view of the Himalayas.
The Kartik Swami Temple is indeed one of the lesser-known treasures of Uttarakhand that attract nature lovers, spiritual persons, photographers, and trekkers. Situated at an elevation of about 3,050 meters above sea level, this beautiful temple presents magnificent panoramic views of several renowned peaks like Chaukhamba, Neelkanth, Kedarnath Dome, Trishul, and Nanda Devi.
Kartik Swami Trek is one of the best trekking experiences offered in Uttarakhand. In contrast to popular trekking places, the Kartik Swami trek provides you with serenity, spirituality, and spectacular sights of the Himalayan ranges in a shorter period.
