Overview
Rudraprayag is situated at the holy confluence of Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers. The entire region is blessed with immense natural beauty, places of religious importance, lakes and glaciers. Next you will be travelling to Kanakchauri; famous as the starting point of the beautiful trek to Kartik Swami Temple. The only temple of Lord Kartikeya (Son of Shiva) in North India. The trek to Kartikswami Temple is easy but offers majestic and splendid view of Himalayas.
Detailed Itinerary:
Day 01 : Dehradun – Khirsu(173 kms /5-6 hrs)
On arrival at Dehradun Railway Station / Airport, meet and greet by our tour representative. Then we will drive towards Khirsu – a beautiful hill station; offers you the best scenic background and amazing 300 km – wide panoramic view of Himalayan Peaks like – Trishul Peak, Nanda Devi Peak, Nandakot and Panchachuli Peaks.” En-route visit Devprayag Sangam. On reach check inn to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at Khirsu.
Day 02 : Khirsu Visit – Rudraprayag(50 kms / 1-2 hrs)
Today morning after breakfast enjoy the majestic view of Himalayas in Khirsu and later drive towards Rudraprayag. En-route visit Maa Dhari Devi Temple and Rudraprayag Sangam. On reach check inn to the hotel, Dinner and overnight stay at Rudraprayag.
Day 03 : Rudraprayag – Kanakchauri(40 kms / 1-2 hrs)
Early in the morning you will proceed for Kanakchauri, a 3.5 kms trek which will take 2-3 hrs to complete. If you want to see the sunrise then you have to trek early morning and without breakfast. You can have your breakfast when you come down. After visit make your way back to Rudraprayag hotel. Rest of the day is for leisure. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.
Day 04 : Rudraprayag – Dehradun Departure(182 kms / 6-7 hrs)
Today is your last day of the trip. Morning after breakfast you will drive back towards Dehradun. En-route visit Rishikesh – Ram Jhula, Laxman Jhula, Tryambakeshwar Temple, Parmarth Niketan and local Market. Later proceed for your drop. Dropping at your destination “Our Services Ends Here..”
